Not in Vain
The world will, never, be same again.
Hearts will itch, discontent, pain.
The lives that were lost, the lives that were innocent
The eyes that had hope, the hope that was lost.
Nations crumbling, healthcare shattering,
Doctors forced to choose, who may live, who should die.
Losing near and dear ones, failing to bid last goodbye,
With Grief and Sorrow in heart, people locked in isolation, quarantined.
People are innocent, people gullible
My pain and sorrow, shouldn’t be a reason for thy
For thy to be injected, infected if I
Am a carrier, maybe asymptotic maybe i.
Life is life, its normal, its just fine,
With this attitude, i’ve spent most my time.
But desperate times can bring drastic change,
To love a bit more, to live lively,
To appreciate this life and all that matters.
That smell of freshly brewed coffee at round-the-corner cafe,
A weekly run at park nearby,
My daily commute, walk to/fro Liverpool Street,
That bidding good morning, to all collegues of mine,
Chit-chat over lunch, an evening pint,
That call from my parents every evening at 5,
All those little pleasures, helped me socialize.
For the world, will never, be same again.
Hearts will itch, discontent, pain.
I will love a bit more, will live lively,
Will appreciate this life and all that matters.
